Why Work at Bywater

1 – Join a Mission Driven organization that’s making an impact in people's daily lives.

In the words of a member:

“[Bywater] gets us outside during rain or shine, introduces us to new people in our neighborhood, and gives us something to look forward to, especially during the winter months.

We would argue that this service is more than just a mobile sauna, but a pillar of community at Alki Beach and Golden Gardens parks.”

Help us strengthen and expand that community.

2 – Ample room for personal and professional growth.

A lot going on around here. We’re looking for people who want to learn, take care of people, get things done, and build an enduring organization.

If there's a project you want to work on to improve Bywater, we want to hear about it.

For example, one of our sauna operators has previously dabbled in perfume making.  He asked if we’d buy extra essential oils for him to create scents for Bywater.  Green light.

We believe the best creations come from intrinsically motivated people – the person who, e.g., actually wants to build a deck or design a T-shirt.

We aim to empower those desires where it makes sense, both for your own development and engagement, and for the betterment of Bywater and Seattle.

3 – Free Bywater membership.

In fact, we want you to sauna at least a couple times a month, to A.) make sure we’re doing things right, and B.) reaffirm your belief in what we are doing.

4 – Cut the Corporate BS.

If you seek to Cross-Functionally Action Synergies and Escalate Product Roadmaps, apply to Amazon.

If you want to talk and act like a normal human, hit us up.

5 – Rooted in the Physical World.

AI is gonna get weird. A lot of disruption forthcoming, for better and worse.

You know what a computer can’t do for you?  Sweat.  Laugh.  Jump in the ocean.

We believe the (further) rise of the digital world will make it more critical to get off pocket casinos.

There’s a reason humans have been huddling around fires telling stories for thousands of years.

Let’s keep that going.
